What I learned ??...!!!

The Subject is confusing, isn't it? It starts as a question and ends in a exclamation. It actually started of a question in my mind and finished off as I actually did get to learn many things in the past one year.

Let's start of the basic, though I always knew that we should switch off the gas once it's use is over, the new thing that I learnt was to switch on the gas after putting the utensil on it. Coming to the US right after completion of my bachleor's was never in the plan, but as a consequence of a failed interview attempt, I took the next flight to the US. The decision has not been that bad as I look back after one year. So first and foremost thing I learnt that things always don't go as you planned them and I have had the opportunity to experience this many times in the last year. Though never getting disheartened by this is also the next thing that I learnt and so I have not stopped planning things. I agree that there should be a criterion on what you plan, and planning each and everything is a utter waste of time and energy. Another thing that I have learnt that planning equivalent to the importance of planned event is of importance.

Going by nature of person I am or atleast what I appear to people, is a person who is focussed, determined and passionate about what he is doing. This is extremely necessary quality, but the thing that I have learnt is sometimes going away from the thing that you do everyday actually helps the thing that you do everyday. Talking about being passionate, I am happy that one thing I did not unlearn is the intensity at which I do anything. I like doing everything with same intensity and passion. Living life with passion, is important because as everyone says it's very short.

It's easier said than done. There will be days when you don't feel like doing anything. Another big lesson that I have learnt, that friends are your savior around this time. And these always need not be humans, but sometimes they appear in the form of hobbies.

Another thing about working hard is that, always work hard on things that you feel or that need to be worked hard upon. Otherwise, your hard work does not take the expected results, which leads unnecessary disheartening. Putting effort in right things leads to a happier you.

Don't be frugal when it comes to you or your loved ones. Not being frugal for yourselves helps you keep happy and your happiness is important for your own well being. Do make sacrifices but a day off where you treat yourself is extremely important.

I guess that's about it. I conclude with I have much much more to learn...
